Measuring a finger
If you are proposing with the real ring, make sure the finger size is correct, before having a ring made.
Step one - with a willing partner
If this is not a surprise, always measure the finger more than once in different temperatures, as fingers can change. If possible, use metal gauges. The fit needs to be snug, but not so tight that it stops the blood from flowing.

Step two - it's a surprise
If you have a ring that fits, even another finger. measuring the inside diameter is sufficient to determine the finger size. Important to measure the inside diameter across the middle of the ring.

Step three - surprise more options
1. Ask a mutual friend to try on one of their rings and then measure that afterwards. 2. Ask a parent or someone close to say they want to give them a ring and get them to try one on. 3. See if one of their fingers is similar in size to a finger of yours. 4. Propose with a CMS 3D printed version and complete the design together. See bespoke Propose experience option.
